Siem Reap / Neak Pean
Neak Pean
An artificial island built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century in the middle of the Jayatataka reservoir, named after the serpents coiled around the base of its central sanctuary. The reservoir, dry until 2011, has been refilled, and the official ticket site lists Neak Pean on the Grand Circuit suggested for 3- and 7-day passes.
