Beng Mealea
About 77 km from Siem Reap on the old royal road east of Angkor, this temple is mostly ruined and largely uncleared, with big trees among fallen stones, making a visit more adventurous than Ta Prohm. It needs its own US$10 day ticket from Angkor Enterprise and closes at 18:30; some areas are hard to walk, so a guide is recommended.
